Apartment as a Narrow House

Architecture

It is so nice to have one's own garden, one's own view of the sky, and everything in between. Here is how it can be done in three-meter width.

In Zagreb's built tissue there are small, forgotten, derelict houses, cramped between apartment blocks. They do not get developed because their plots are too small: They give no opportunity for high profits arising from a large number of apartments.

This concept for a plot in Zagreb proposes a scenario where the six-meter-wide plot receives two equal 120 m2 apartments so that both achieve contact with the ground, a garden, and contact with the skies.

Such a house is compatible with the new surrounding buildings in terms of height while protecting the back-garden from view, and the apartments provide a novel residential experience.
